Canon has announced two new cameras, EOS 90D, and the mirrorless EOS M6 Mark II. Both cameras have the same sensor. So it comes down to the evergreen debate, DSLR or Mirrorless?
Common features between EOS 90D and EOS M6 Mark II
A 32.5 megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 8 image processor. It has an electronic shutter can shoot at speeds of up to 1/16,000.
It supports uncropped 4K/30 video recording with dual pixel autofocus in live view that has 5,481 selectable points.
There’s built-in WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity and USB-C port.
Differences between EOS 90D and EOS M6 Mark II
M6 Mark II can shoot up to 14 frames per second with AF and AE lock, while 90D can take up to 10 frames per second. There are new focus controls on the back of the camera body.

Other than the fact that one is a DSLR and other is a mirrorless camera, the major difference is in the price tag.
Expected Prices
Both of the new models will be available next month. Canon Eos 90D costs $1,199 (body) and Canon EOS M6 Mark II costs $849.99 (body). They are available to purchase with kit lenses as well.
As far as 90D is concerned, buyers might already have lenses with them. With the M6 Mark II, the kit consists of 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 zoom lens and EVF-DC2 electronic viewfinder accessory. This kit costs $1,099.
The $1,349 kit comes with 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 lens.
Canon is also announcing two L-class lenses for its new EOS R full-frame mirrorless system. The RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM is a fast ultrawide-to-wide zoom, while the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM is a standard zoom with a classic speed and focal length.
Both lenses will ship next month for $2,299, and Canon pledges to complete it’s pro zoom “trinity” with a 70-200mm f/2.8 by the end of the year.
