The Redmi series of Xiaomi has always symbolized a great set of features in a budgeted price. The series has smartphones ranging from entry-level to mid-range devices.
The latest smartphone to be launched is Redmi 7A which is an upgrade to the last year’s Redmi 6A. Rumors say that the smartphone is going to come with one ‘massive upgrade’.
Nothing can be said for sure about what that upgrade is going to be.
It looks like most of the features are a bit similar to the previous version but we can see some improvements made in the battery and processor segment. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications of the Redmi 7A and find out if it is a good deal after all.

The smartphone is expected to cost Rs. 5,535 in India and will be launched on July 4.
Design
Redmi 7A has a 5.45-inches display of a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The display has ppi density of ~295 which isn’t the best one but well we can’t expect anything more than that for the price tag it comes with.
The screen-to-body ratio is approximately 74.4% and the display ratio is 18:9. The phone weighs 165 grams.

Processor
Redmi 7A is powered by Snapdragon 439 SoC, Android 9 Pie and MIUI 9. It has Adreno 505 as the GPU and an octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 & 6×1.45 GHz Cortex A53) .
The device comes in two variants, one has 2GB RAM and the second one has 3GB of RAM. Same way, the options available for internal storage are 16GB and 32GB.
A battery of 4,000mAh is a pretty good add on in this price.
Camera
The phone has a single rear camera of 13-megapixels which can record videos of 1080p@30fps and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Redmi 7A will be available in the colors: Matte Black and Morning Blue.
