On Friday, Huawei released its latest Huawei Nova series comprised of Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i.
Along with these new devices, the company also launched its new HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC. It will debut in the market with Nova 5. The HilSilicon Kirin 810 SoC has two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.27GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.88GHz.

About Huawei Nova 5 Series Smartphones
Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro have a waterdrop notch and a glass back which has a 3D lighting effect. On the other hand, Nova 5i has a hole-punch front camera in a plastic body.

Price of Huawei Nova 5 Series Smartphones
Huawei Nova 5 Pro will start at around Rs. 30,100 for the base version which has 8 GB of RAM and internal storage of 128 GB. Its version with 256 GB RAM will cost Rs. 34,100.
The available colors are bright black, midsummer, purple, coral orange and forest green.
Unlike the Nova 5 Pro, Nova 5 has only one variant which comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs. 28,100 and is available in the same colors as the Nova 5.

The base variant of Nova 5i with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage costs Rs. 20,100. It’s upgraded version with 8 GB of RAM will cost Rs. 22,100.
The available colors for Nova 5i are magic night black, honey red and blue.

Software and Processor
Out of the box, both of the phones run on Android Pie and have a 6.29-inches Full HD display which has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
Nova 5 is powered by octa-core Kirin 810 SoC and Nova 5 Pro has octa-core Kirin 980 SoC. Both of them have the same 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
The fingerprint scanner is placed inside the mobile’s screen which has the aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
Camera
Both the phones have a quad-camera setup which consists of 48MP+16MP (ultra-wide)+2MP (depth sensor). The front camera is of 32 MP and comes with AI HDR+ support for night mode.
Battery
Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro have a 3,500 mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. Nova 5 pro supports NFC as well.
Specifications of Nova 5i
Huawei Nova 5i runs on Android 9 Pie and has a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2310 pixels) screen. It is powered by octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM.
Camera
It has a quad-camera setup which houses a 24-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2-megapixel 4cm macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is a 24-megapixel selfie camera on the front as well with an f/2.0 lens.
The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery, 128GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot (up to 512GB), and a rear fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options on the Huawei Nova 5i include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, 4G LTE support.
The phone’s dimensions are 159.1×75.9×8.3mm and it weighs 178 grams.
