Reading Time: 3 minutes

Huawei P30 Pro has now launched in India. The device has a 6.47-inches screen and a whopping 8GB of RAM.

It is powered by a 4,200mAh battery. At the back of the phone, there is a glass body in an aluminum frame. Out of the box, the phone comes with Android 9.0 (Pie) installed.

Huawei P30 Pro price in India is expected to be Rs. 71,990. The smartphone has the company’s most powerful SoC – HiSilicon Kirin 980 with NPU.

Internal storages of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB are available in the variants of the P30 Pro.

The key feature or the highlight of Huawei P30 Pro is its outstanding quad Camera. It is designed to take smartphone photography to another level altogether.

About Huawei P30 Pro Camera

The quad-camera consists of a 40MP primary sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8MP superzoom lens and a time of flight sensor.

The 8MP sensor enables the camera to shoot 10X hybrid zoom and 50X digital zoom.

What is the difference between optical zoom and digital zoom?

Optical zoom works like a true zoom lens using which you can take pictures of animals which are far from you in a zoo. Compared to a digital zoom, the optical zoom gives far better quality pictures.

In digital zoom, the camera only enlarges the image in the same manner of cropping an image. This reduces the size and quality of the image.

The Leica Camera

The Leica Quad Camera System has a new periscope telephoto lens. This telephoto lens made it possible to accommodate its zooming capabilities in a compact smartphone.

The new Huawei SuperSpectrum sensor can take in 40% more light because Huawei made updates in the color sensing abilities.

Huawei made the camera follow RYYB instead of RGGB. Along with ISP of Kirin 980 and the self-developed algorithm, the mobile camera provides a clear preservation of your memories during the day or night.

The camera shoots great quality pictures in the night with up to ISO 409,600 on the HUAWEI P30 Pro. For example, pictures of an outdoor party at night will no longer be dark and pixelated.

The ultra-wide mode on the camera can capture images at 0.6X zoom. This mode will work best when clicking pictures of landscapes, macro shots or architecture as it provides a broader perspective.

Also, the time of flight sensor can be used for an enhanced bokeh effect through precise depth sensing.

It supports reverse wireless charging similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro while the bundled 40W charger can refill the 4200mAh battery in less than an hour.

The P30 Pro will be available in the colors: Breathing Crystal and Aurora in India. The black color version might be available later.
