With all the pre-wedding festivities and ceremonies of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani in Jamnagar, we were also introduced to a special Family member who joined the Ambani family portrait. Happy, the Ambani family’s pet dog, a golden retriever who acted as ring bearer at their engagement in January 2023.

Happy stole the spotlight in a family picture featuring Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife, Nita Ambani, their Akash, Isha, Anant, and their partners.

The celebrations started with Anna Seva for nearby village communities, followed by three days of festivities with friends and family. After completing pre-wedding celebrations, the Ambani family and their dog Happy posed in front of the cameras.

The world came to know about Happy’s existence in January 2023, when the pup acted as the ring bearer at Anant and Radhika’s engagement at the Ambani Mumbai residence, Antilia. The dog carried the ring on his back as he approached the couple.

A few months later, Nita Ambani revealed in an interview with The Week that she is a “dog mother” and a grandmother.

“Add to that, I am also a dog mother,” she said. “My son Anant rescues dogs; he has 5,000 stray dogs, but I have only one, who is part of my family, and we call him Happy.”
