Madonna is a 14-year-old Siberian husky who was left at the Harris County Pets Animal Shelter in July. She was left behind because “she was old” and that last car trip for Madonna must have truly broken her heart.

“How many more times we have to see senior pets left behind by their owners in a kill shelter or pound? Why not spend the last days with them or do humane decision and take them to a local vet and let them rest with you by their side until the end?,” a shelter volunteer asked.

Madonna has left at the shelter on Tuesday. She is spayed, underweight and doesn’t appear to be in good condition.

“…I am tired of owners who care less for their pets when they need them most! This is not the place for her. We ask you to share.”
