Shelter Pleads For Help After Puppy Stolen From Adoption Center

A non-profit animal Shelter in Utah has reached out to the public for help following the theft of a puppy who was stolen from the adoption center. On Friday, the Humane Society of Utah explained:

A 2-month-old black and tan female Cairn Terrier named Cookie went missing on Thursday, Nov. 29 between 4:30-4:55 p.m. from the Humane Society of Utah Adoption Center located at 4242 S 300 W in Murray, Utah

The suspect

As reported by the Salt Lake Tribune, surveillance footage showed a Hispanic woman, who was accompanied by two boys, putting the pup into her purse and then covering the purse with a jacket. The shelter has expressed concern for the well-being of the pup, whose name is Cookie:

We’re extremely concerned about the safety of this puppy. We’re concerned about the health and well being of Cookie right now and just ask that she is returned as soon as possible.”
