5-star Regent Singapore Pet-friendly Staycation [Review]

A few weeks ago, Regent Singapore invited us back for a weekend pet staycation. We last stayed at Regent Singapore in 2016, and we took over their Instagram for a weekend. This time, they have improved their pet-friendly offering, and we were super excited to try it!

Here’s a review of our experience!

Regent Singapore Pet-friendly Hotel Staycation

We arrived at Regent Singapore a little after 3pm for check-in. The process was quick and when we got to our room, Latte was welcomed by an updated amenities pack, complete with a Loyalty Pet Treats sample and a super soft Woofer & Purrlensky’s microfibre towel!

All pet guests are also provided with a bed, two bowls, a travel-size pet shampoo, a KONG ball, a roll of poop bags, a pee pad, an in-room pet dining menu, and a dog walking map!

Goodies in the box and the Nice people at Regent even printed out a photo of Latte and Myself

No prizes for guessing what latte’s most excited about!

Sniffing out the executive suite

It’s not a hotel staycation without a plush bed and soft pillows! Before we were able to enjoy the king-sized bed, Latte was already there sniffing out the pillows and scratching the sheets.

If you book the Executive Suite, your pet will have more room to run around. We brought Latte’s P.L.A.Y. elephant toy along and she had lots of fun flinging it while playing hide-and-seek with me.

Regent Singapore kept us very happy with a posh bathroom and L’OCCITANE toiletries.

Nearby walks

After checking out the room, we took Latte out to Orchard Road for a nice afternoon stroll. You can also follow Regent’s walking map and take the 3km Botanic Gardens trail!

Tip: If you have a small pet that gets tired easily, it may be a good idea to bring along a pet carrier or a stroller. We had to cross the underpass from Wheelock Place to ION so we “smuggled” Latte through in her pet carrier.

Back in the hotel after her long walk, we took the opportunity to give Latte a nice bath in the bathtub. After that, she found it impossible to stay awake and fell into a deep sleep, taking up a ridiculous amount of space. It’s a good thing that there was still a lot of space left on the king-sized bed!

For the other times we returned from walks, we used the kin+kind waterless shampoo to clean Latte’s paws clean without having to wash her again.

In-room dining

The weekend pet staycation package includes S$100 in-room dining credits, which is good enough for one to two meals. We tried the blueberry pancakes, fish and chips, and wagyu beef lasagne. As we could expect from a 5-star hotel, the food was delicious albeit quite expensive! The pancakes were S$22 and the mains were around S$30-S$40 before tax.

There are also some pet-friendly alfresco restaurants nearby you can check out, such as Nassim Hill Bakery.

Exploring the hotel

After brunch, we spent some time exploring the hotel to make the most out of our last few hours at Regent. It was our second time here but we were still able to appreciate the interior design and the numerous Asian art pieces that are peppered throughout the hotel.

Time to head home! Thanks for the staycation, Regent Singapore!

Now for the important question… are there any pet restrictions?

There’s no additional charge when you bring your pet under the weekend pet staycation package! To us, besides the location, that is another bonus for choosing Regent Singapore.

The weekend pet staycation package includes S$100 in-room dining credits, which is good enough for one to two meals and a welcome amenities kit.

Your pet has to be less than 15kg (7kg each if you’re bringing two). She can walk around the hotel (leashed at all times) but is not allowed in the fitness centre, pool, and F&B outlets, except the alfresco area of Dolcetto by Basilico.

If your pet accidentally pees or dirties the floor or carpet, do inform the concierge so that they can get it cleaned immediately.

As pet policies may change with time, please contact the hotel for the latest information.

Check-in/out: Check-in time is at 3pm and check-out time is at 12pm.

Reservation: Visit the Regent Singapore website to book directly or email [email protected].

Special thanks to Regent Singapore for the wonderful stay.
