Diamond Dog Food Review

Diamond is a high-quality, American-made product that has been feeding pups for almost 50 years. Priding themselves on quality ingredients at an affordable price, this is a recommended brand by almost all reviewers, especially for dog owners on a budget.

About Diamond

The signature of the Diamond formulas is the inclusion of many ingredients not commonly found in lesser-grade dog food, including berries, fruits, and vegetables. Additionally, Diamond prides itself on not being one of the high-end, unreachable for the common man types of foods, and as such ensure that their products remain budget-friendly without sacrificing any quality.

Quality of Ingredients

Diamond promises that only the highest quality ingredients go into their food, and makes use of a variety of non-protein sources, like the berries, fruits, and veggies mentioned above, to add some extra benefits to the food. Some recipes even make use of ingredients such as quinoa, chicory root, and coconut, providing some unique variations when compared with other products on the market today.

From what we are able to tell, all of the ingredients are sourced here in the United States and put together in one of their several plants scattered throughout the country. The food was also rated as “above average” by Dogfoodadvisor.com and was given a coveted four-star review.

Dry Dog Food Product Line

Diamond focuses mostly on their dry food lines, and produce a wide variety of formulas and flavors to make sure that your dog never gets bored and that there is always the right product for your pet’s needs. For those who like to provide a bit more variation, however, there are also canned products made by the company, and several different treats can also be found under the Diamond logo.

Diamond

The standard formula from the company, the Diamond line of foods is made with the “highest quality ingredients and formulated to help your pet stay active and feel great,” according to the company website. The food also comes in several different flavors and formulas to meet the needs of different animals, including puppy and weight loss varieties, among others, and every bag is packed full of healthy antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals to help keep your animal running at peak capacity.

Diamond Naturals

Diamond Naturals Grain-Free

The grain-free version of the highly popular Diamond Naturals, this line is billed on the company website as having “superior animal protein sources and zero grains to optimize digestion and limit exposure to allergy triggers.” Because of this, the Grain-Free formula is a great choice to feed any animals with food sensitivities, and also packs much of the superfood ingredients that helped to make the brand famous in the first place.

Where to Buy

Diamond is a fairly popular brand, although it still cannot be found everywhere and certainly will not be on supermarket shelves. Some of the larger retailers like PetSmart might carry it, and a number of smaller specialty stores do, but to be safe make sure to check out the company website and use the handy store locator page. You can narrow down your search to within 15 miles of your home if needed, and it has every store that carries the brand pinned to a map right there.

Diamond can also be purchased online, and customers can get themselves a bag from websites like Chewwy and Amazon, as well as most of the other big online pet food retailers. Unfortunately, however, the company website itself does not allow for direct-to-consumer purchases, but it does have some helpful nutritional information about each of their products.
