Vinegar trap. Just like red wines, fruit flies love the smell of vinegar. Open a bottle of vinegar. Nearly empty bottle of vinegar is enough. Cover its opening in plastic wrap and secure it with rubber band. Then stab a hole in the middle part so fruit flies can enter the trap. They can’t resist the smell of the vinegar and once they are inside your trap they can no longer escape.

Combine the vinegar with dish soap. If you noticed that fruit flies are resistant to the plastic wrap try adding about three drops of dish soap to a bowl of vinegar and just leave it uncovered. The soap will create a tension so the flies will sink and drown.

A piece of fruit, a drop of vinegar and a paper cone. Get an empty jar, place a chunk of very ripe fruit inside of it and add a little amount of vinegar. Roll a piece of paper to create a cone shape and stick it into the jar. The fruit flies will be drawn and they won’t be able to get out.

Milk, pepper and sugar. Combine 4 ounces of sugar and 2 ounces of ground pepper to a pint of milk. Simmer it in a saucepan for about 10 minutes. Then pour the mixed ingredients into a narrow dish.
