Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, Pahang

Take a day trip out of the city and let your children see and also interact with elephants. Located at a small village in Lanchang, Pahang is the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary which is roughly a 2 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. The elephant sanctuary was established in 1989 and is managed by the Malaysian Department of Wildlife and National Parks. Many orphaned elephants are raised and given shelter here. The sanctuary is open daily, 10:30am to 4:00pm.

Game based learning

Kids can now learn coding in a fun manner and be ahead of their peers. At Code Junior, kids as from as young as 5 can start to learn how to code through game based learning. Bring them to the library

Instill the love of reading in your children by bringing them to a library. These days libraries are no longer a boring, adults-only place. For example, the Raja Tun Uda library is a modern and sleek place, with a large, interactive section for children. The highlight at the children section is the reading tree, where kids can sit and read books in a fun and relaxed manner.

Aside from books, there are also 16 computers which are a combination of Windows and Mac for kids to use at a minimum charge of RM1 per hour.
