There used to be a time where getting Black Friday Deals door busters were considered a myth, really good deals, few of them, and so many takers. People brought their tents days earlier in front of the store they plan to shop at, they had a shot on only one store because by the time they done, it was pretty much over. Yet, these days are officially over.

I am a big fan of Black Friday, not because of the deals, or because i don’t eat turkey, but because i love going outside and see everywhere open night long. Yups, everywhere feel pretty much vegas like.

Today, I decided to hang out after 6pm ( the new official doorbusters for majority of retailers that planned to open in Thanksgiving ), people all over the places, probably twice as much as before, but what was shocking were the sales.

I visited malls, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, hours later after their so called door busters, and what shocked me the most was that so much of their door busters deals are still there, as a manner of fact the majority of the deals were there. People are checking but many are not buying. As I stopped by Best Buy 5 hours after opening, I was stunned to see their devices lying there, i was so compelled to take a photo :

So, what is causing this ? what happened to our beloved Black Friday Deals ? Well, a lot of things and here is few :

– Weak & Repeated Deals : Many of the door busters deal were repeated from a year ago ( or pretty close with deals that are not worth the time and money ).

– Online Deals are 2x Better : Even from the same store , you can get a way better deal than in person, between online coupons, cashback and the very exact deal, people are actually paying more money to buy the same item in store.

– Early Black Friday Door busters : Major retailers may not know it just yet,  but believe it or not it is affecting these retailers more and more, opening earlier in Thanksgiving is giving people choice between deals and family. Needless to say people stop bother trying to make it at 6 pm, and they assume going later is not worth it.

– Pre-Black Friday & Cyber Monday Leaked deals : It is a shame but some those deals turned to be even better than Black Friday Deals, people either were able to snag better deals through Pre-Black Friday, or looking forward for the leaked cyber monday deals.
