If you can write a letter, craft an engaging resume or write a blog post or online article, then you can turn those skills into cash by freelancing.

To get started, register on a site like Upwork.com and complete your profile and start bidding on jobs you see that match your skills.

You could also let people know on your social media profiles that you’re doing some freelancing on the side and link to your portfolio.

There are a lot of people who have made money selling their unwanted stuff on eBay and there is absolutely no reason why you can’t do the same.

Take 30 minutes to walk around the house and find things that you no longer use, don’t want or just have no use for and jump on eBay and get them listed.

If you want to turn this into more of a profitable endeavour, consider starting your own eBay store and buying and then reselling items you find on Craigslist or at garage sales.

Again, you can do this from the comfort of your own home.

#3: Sell Your Crafts on Etsy

Is one of your hobbies around making things that you sell to your friends or give away as gifts? Then you can definitely make money selling these on Etsy.

There are lots of different craft items you can sell on Etsy, including handmade purses, custom designed pillows, one-off clothing, handmade jewelry etc, etc.

The best way to determine if you’re crafted item is going to have a market is to jump on Etsy and see for yourself. Are there others selling similar products to what you’re looking at selling? Awesome! That means there’s a market and you’ll be able to reach people who are looking for your unique items.

Getting started on Etsy is easy, all you need is some great images of your product and a name for your store and set up your online store.

#4: Mystery Shopping

While not necessarily something you can do from home, when you do have to go out, why not get paid to do the things you would do anyway?

Mystery shopping can be very lucrative and is a great way for you to get your groceries paid for or other items that you would normally buy, covered.
