Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful started as a thought Experiment, how would you build Steven Hawking's time machine. Hawking's design was based on theoretical physics. Some of the key components should exist but are not yet proven. I redesigned the time machine using experimental physics. Of note, the wormhole was replaced by quantum entangled particles.
Quantum entanglement has a lot of characteristics similar to wormholes. And the math is missing a variable for time. This is why it was speculated that the response is instantaneous. Several recent experiments support this. The missing dependence on time suggests that the particles can be entangled across time as well as space.

The second thought experiment was, if the machine was built actually worked. What if everybody was given access to it, how would it change society. Let the mayhem proceed!

One week after the book was published, a team of researchers announced they had experimentally used the same concept to skip a bit of information into the future. In a different articlethe said that they had not yet figured out to construct an experiment to try to send information backwards.

This week, I read that a team has used the same concept to reverse time at the quantum level. This is really exciting if their data was interpreted correctly. Who knows? In a few decades maybe time mail will be more than just a story. And maybe someday I'll be a not-quite-forgotten author like the one in "The Arms Race in Time"!
