Know what you’re going to buy, as well as when and where to buy it.
Don’t just make a list – make a schedule. Use our collection of Black Friday circulars to research, and read the fine print on every item that catches your eye. Is it already available in an early Black Friday sale, is it available online or in-store only? Is it only on sale for a specific day?

There have been some big changes made to Black Friday this year. Due to the pandemic, many stores have opted to have extended sales through the month of November and some even into December. Many sales are live now and this list may be updated to reflect that. Walmart’s sales change every couple of weeks, with new items added and some sales ending. Target adds new deals every Sunday through November.

Stay on mission, stay on budget.

Use a credit card for major purchases to lock in extra benefits. 
Big ticket items like televisions, major appliances, and anything that comes with a warranty should be paid for with a credit card, even if you have the cash ready to go. The reason for this is that credit cards often provide extra benefits like extended warranty protection which cash does not. To make this work even more to your advantage, use a cash back credit card or your favorite rewards credit card. No matter what card you prefer, use your cash savings to pay off the card right away and avoid interest charges.

Why isn’t Amazon on the list?

Amazon just ran a huge sitewide sale for Amazon Prime Day and while we think they’ll still offer Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, we don’t know how strong the sales will be. They rarely give us specifics on anything that isn’t an Alexa, Kindle, Fire TV, or Amazon Basic product and their prices change quickly during high-selling times. So without a true Black Friday ad from them, we can’t make any quality predictions about their sale.

That said, our list below covers popular items and categories, including some big ticket doorbusters, and Amazon has a history of aggressively price matching those deals for their Black Friday sale. Our advice is that if you’d rather buy something at Amazon, check the price there and we won’t be at all surprised if you find that it’s the same as at Walmart, Target, or Best Buy.

This deal on the Keurig is, as far as we can tell, the lowest price we’ve seen on a Keurig, including Black Friday sale prices! Find this sale on page 12 of the Walmart ad. Shop this sale beginning at 12 AM on 11/14.

Apple Watch Series 6 at Target

Black Friday Price: $259.99

Though this will likely be price-matched by Amazon or another retailer, this is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Apple Watch Series 6. Shop this deal online and in-stores beginning Sunday 11/15.

Koolaburra by UGG Boots for the Family at Kohl’s

Black Friday Price: $41.24-$90 (25% off)

A rare and once-per-year-only sale, Kohl’s is offering 25% off their selection of Koolaburra by UGG boots for women, men, and kids. Find this deal on page 18 of the Kohl’s ad and start shopping online and in-store on 11/22.

Black Friday Price: $159.99

Another deal that may be price-matched as more Black Friday sales begin, this Powerbeats Pro price is the best we’ve seen all year. Shop this deal online and in-stores beginning Sunday 11/15.

Vizio 55″ Class OLED 4K SmartCast TV at Best Buy

Regular Price: $1299.99
Black Friday Price: $899.99

A best-pick from our editor Mike, this TV will likely be the lowest price on an OLED TV we’ve seen this year! You won’t find it in their print ad, but they had it in their Black Friday Preview Sale earlier this month so we think we can expect it again. You can also find it on this Best Buy Black Friday Preview page. Shop deals online and in-store starting 11/22.

8-Piece Printed Comforter Sets at Macy’s

Regular Price: $100
Black Friday Price: $30 (70% off)

Another comforter set deal, these printed sets are one of our most popular deals when we post them from Macy’s. The lowest price we’ve seen for the 8-piece sets this year is $35 and if they are the true 70% off, making them $30, this is a steal! Find these on page 6 of the Macy’s Black Friday ad and start shopping most deals on 11/16.

Amazon Echo Dot 4th Generation at Staples

Regular Price: $49.99
Black Friday Price: $28.99

Another deal to check price-matching (on Amazon) is the Echo Dot 4th generation. At this price, it is the lowest we’ve seen so far, but can’t rule out other stores offering the same price. Find it on page 12 of the Staples Black Friday ad and start shopping 11/22.

iRobot Roomba 677 at Kohl’s

Black Friday Price: $185.29

With the $45 Kohl’s Cash you’ll earn with this purchase, this is the best deal we’ve ever seen on this Roomba model. Find it on page 37 of the Kohl’s ad. Start shopping Kohl’s Black Friday sale online at 12:01 AM on 11/26 and in-stores at 5 AM on 11/27.

Puffer Jackets for the Family at JCPenney

Black Friday Price: $20

Select styles of puffer jackets for men, women, and kids will be just $20 each during the JCPenney Black Friday sale. This deal, located on page 24 of the JCPenney Black Friday ad, is available online and in-store and you can start shopping on 11/25.

Magic Bullet Blender at Walmart

Current Price: $22.96
Black Friday Price: $15

This is the lowest price we’ll have seen for this 18-Oz. Magic Bullet Blender in several years. This deal can be found on page 5 of the Walmart ad and went on sale Saturday, 11/7. It is still available for this price.

Cuisinart Cutlery Set at JCPenney

Regular Price: $24-$31
Black Friday Price: $7.99 after rebate

As usual, JCP is offering rebate deals on select kitchen essentials. Choose from brands like Cuisinart, Black & Decker, and Cooks. A great choice is this cutlery set from Cuisinart. We’ve seen this set offered at other retailers this year, but after rebate, this is the lowest price. You can shop this sale from 11/25 to 11/28 online or in-store. Find this deal on page 1 of the JCPenney ad.

TCL 55″ Class 4K UHD HDR LED Roku Smart TV 4 Series 55S20 at Walmart

One of our electronics deal editors, David, loves a 4K TV deal at this price point! You can find this deal on page 9 of the Walmart ad and begin shopping online at 7 PM on 11/11.

Home Expressions 30-Piece Dinnerware Set at JCPenney

Regular Price: $84.99
Black Friday Price: $39.99

This 30-piece dinnerware set serves 6 and is dishwasher and microwave safe. It includes dinner plates, salad plates, small bowls, large bowls, and mugs. Last Christmas we did see JCP offer a 40-piece set for $37, but this is still a very notable deal and better than anything we’ve seen so far this year from them on dinnerware. HP – DeskJet 2725 Wireless All-In-One Instant Ink Ready Inkjet Printer at Best Buy

It’s rare to see printers at this price point right now. We’ve only posted two DeskJet printers this year so far and they’ve been $35-$45 each. See this deal on page 7 of the Best Buy Black Friday ad and shop online and in-store beginning 11/22.

At $10 off this is a very good price for this surveillance camera. We have seen it once before at $25 at Amazon back in October. You can also sometimes find bundles with the Echo Show for around $50, but we have not seen any yet for Black Friday. Find this deal on page 12 of the Staples ad and start shopping on 11/22.

50% off Toys and Games at Kohl’s

This sale drops classic board games to $4-$5 each and one of our favorite kid’s gifts, the Land Rover Ride-On, to just $125 with $20 Kohl’s Cash! Find these deals on page 2 of the Kohl’s Black Friday ad and start shopping on 11/22.

Dyson Slim Ball HEPA Vacuum at Target

The lowest we’ve seen for this Dyson Model was $220 during a one-day sale at Home Depot earlier in November. We haven’t seen this one drop to $199.99 before. You can find it at Target in their weekly ad and shop this sale now until 11/14.

Black Friday Price: $49.99

This is a favorite pick from our editor Marisa. A great toy for kids at a good Black Friday price. You can find this deal on page 5 of the Kohl’s ad and you can shop online and in-store on 11/22.

11′ – 12′ Inflatable Outdoor Christmas Décor at Home Depot

Regular Price: $179
Black Friday Price: $69

We predict that outdoor holiday décor will be very popular this year. One socially-distanced way to celebrate the holiday will be to drive around looking at Christmas lights and décor in your neighborhood. These 12′ inflatables are the lowest price we’ve seen for this size. We normally see 8′ for around $45 and have not seen 12′ for under $90 in the past. Insignia™ – 50″ Class LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV Edition TV at Best Buy

Black Friday Price: $149.99

The lowest price we’ve seen for this Insignia 50″ 4K UHD Fire TV (NS-50DF710NA21) has been $250. Our electronics deal editor David notes that Insignia is a store brand but is a brand we trust and recommend. They are made by LG, but use the most basic LG panels and parts. PowerXL Smokeless Indoor Grill at Kohl’s

Indoor grills are going to be hot this year. A great way to enjoy grilling all year round from the safety of inside your home, these are especially great for those living in small apartments with limited or no outdoor space. We did see this PowerXL model for $56 earlier this season, but the $59 price with Kohl’s Cash is a very close second to that deal. 7.5′ Pre-Lit Christmas Tree at Home Depot

Black Friday Price: $79

Christmas trees are a big seller this year and Home Depot is not disappointing when it comes to deals. This 7.5′ pre-lit tree for $79 switches from clear to colorful lights and is our favorite Christmas tree deal this year. Find it on page 1 of the Home Depot Black Friday ad and shop this sale now through December! This one is currently unavailable online, but available in select stores.

Giftable Mugs & Drinkware at Belk

Regular Price: $20-$24
Black Friday Price: $7-$8.40

Our deal editor Julie loves this deal. She purchased these as gifts previously and said they are great for the price. The $7 lidded mugs come in giftable boxes making for cute and convenient gifts for your friends and family. Note that the wine glasses come in a set of 2. 50% + 15% Off St. Nicholas Square Christmas Décor at Kohl’s

As we predicted, Christmas decor is a big seller this year. With most people staying home for the holidays, decorating big (and early!) is something many families are doing. Kohl’s is taking 50% off, and an additional 15% off with coupon, some of their popular Christmas decorations. Find this deal on page 12 of the ad and start shopping 11/22.

Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat at Home Depot

Black Friday Price: $99

This Wi-fi enabled thermostat has 7-day programming and a color-changing touchscreen. You can also find this deal at Best Buy and Walmart. Find it on page 18 of the Home Depot ad and get this deal now through December.

Shark Navigator Light Vacuum at Macy’s

Regular price: $149.99
Black Friday Price: $79.99

The Shark Navigator Upright (NV105) vacuum will be $79.99 in the sale. We see this model on Amazon and Walmart normally for $150 and $80 matches the lowest price we’ve seen for this upright (posted from Macy’s in July of 2019). Find it on page 4 of the Macy’s ad and start shopping select deals online 11/16 with more available as we get closer to Black Friday.

Gorilla Step Ladder at Home Depot

Black Friday Price: $9.88

A pick from our managing editor Casey, this same ladder was $20 in the Home Depot Black Friday sale last year. We haven’t seen it this low in several years, and you can bet Casey snagged one when it was this low last time! Find it on page 2 of the Home Depot Black Friday ad. Apple AirPods; 2nd gen at Walmart

Black Friday Price: $99

This deal is no longer available, as it was part of Walmart’s first wave of Black Friday Deals for Days, but we wanted to include it as this is the lowest price ever on 2nd gen Air Pods. Keep an eye out for deals around this price point to get a true Black Friday value this year.
