The 10 Best Black Friday TV Deals of 2017

For those who are weighing their options on Black Friday TV deals, these ten are our favorites.

This is the year that 4K and Smart TVs finally became the norm. The 2017 Black Friday ads feature more 4K than standard LED, and it's never been more affordable.

When buying a TV, put it on a credit card so long as you can afford to pay it off right away. That will buy you a little extra warranty protection which comes in handy if the set breaks down sooner than expected. Putting big ticket items like TVs on a rewards card is also a great way to earn extra points or cash back.

The Best Black Friday TV Deal

VIZIO 60" 4K Smart HDR Ultra HDTV
Price: $699.99 (was $969.99)
Where: Dell
Bonus: $200 Dell Promo eGift Card
Online: Yes (11/23 at 11pm ET)

A great entry from a solid brand. This VIZIO 4K Smart TV has a nice, large screen with 4K HDR, built-in Chromecast, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 4 HDMI ports. And the $200 gift card is a fantastic value add, bringing your net cost for a 60" 4K TV from a good brand down to just $499.99. Best of all, it's available to buy online, though buyers are advised to pay close attention to the day and time it's slated to go on sale. Use the gift card towards a soundbar to give the audio quality a boost.

The Best Doorbuster TV Deal

Sharp 50" 4K Ultra HDTV Roku TV
Price: $179.99 (was $499.99)
Where: Best Buy
Online: No

This 4K set from Sharp ticks all of the boxes for us – a good-size, from a well-established brand, and with Roku built-in as a bonus. This is a doorbuster TV, and it's the one all those tents outside of your local Best Buy are camping out for, so you'll need to be in line early at the store to get it. We don't expect to see it online at this price.

The Best Curved TV Deal

Samsung 65" Curved 4K Smart TV (65MU6500)
Price: $998 (was $1,298)
Where: Walmart
Online: Yes

That's a 65" Curved 4K Smart TV from a top tier brand for under $1,000. In addition to the 4K HDR picture, you'll get a Smart TV interface, 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Best Cheap TV Deal

Element 39" Smart TV
Price: $125
Where: Walmart
Online: Yes

It's incredible how inexpensive standard LED HDTVs have become now that 4K is everywhere. With only 720p and a refresh rate of just 60Hz, this small LED  TV is chopped liver next to the 4K sets we've already mentioned, but it's the best of the small and cheap Black Friday TVs in 2017, and we know that will meet all criteria for a subset of TV shoppers for whom size and cost are more important factors.

The Absolute Cheapest Black Friday TV Deal

32" 720p TV (brand not specified)
Price: $69.99
Where: Amazon
Online: Yes

Here's everything we know about this TV which Amazon teased in their Black Friday press release:

  • It's 32 inches.
  • It's 720p.
  • ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Seriously, that's it. We don't know when it will get dropped into Amazon's slow drip of a Black Friday sale, and it's going to sell out instantly when it does. If this no-name TV is on your radar, just be warned that the price tag is likely to be its best feature.
