iPhone 6 Philippines

Tags: iphone
iPhone 6 is now available around the world, but not for the Philippines and other "unfortunate" countries. By the way, who sets the Iphone launching in each country? Is it just Tim Cook and the rest of Apple gang or the country's government and telcos have to do with the date?

Whoever sets the date, Philippines usually gets the iPhone two months after the unveiling. Last year, i got the iPhone 5s on November 15, 2013 thru Globe. I contacted Globe for any news and reply was decent: text iphone to 26825.

This year, and the yesteryears, we hope it to be earlier. I guess it will be launched by PH telcos by November 2014.

And oh, online stores, both trusted or not are selling iPhones like second hand low-end cars, laptops or something really expensive. Your judgement call.

Kimstore (www.kimstore.com)

Lazada (lazada.com.ph)
Widget City (www.widgetcity.com.ph)

Our neighbors Singapore, Hongkong and Australia are now selling the new iPhones and prices are "good". From around P35,000 and P42,000 you can buy the 16GB versions of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. For 64GB and 128GB, you can have them just under P50,000. These prices doesn't include the balikbayan boxes though, or tip for a friend to bring it hand-carry for you.

I recommend to patiently wait for November 2014 and just update your iPhones, if you have, to iOS 8 and discover not-so-threatening bugs yourself.
