Fluffy Slime!

Here is another DIY sensory toddler activity! I thought I would mix things up a little and make Slime with shaving cream.  Making slime with shaving cream creates a fluffiness and really cool texture a.k.a. Fluffy Slime.  Like my other slime recipe, this is also super easy and inexpensive.  Great way to take basic household products and make a quick activity project for the kids. Parenting win!

Fluffy Slime Ingredients:

Shaving cream, glue, food coloring, baking soda, contact solution (with boric acid) and water

Fluffy Slime Recipe:

This recipe, because of the texture of the shaving cream(it is not the easiest to measure), may need to be tweaked a smidge when mixing. Place 3-4 cups of shaving cream in a mixing bowl, add your drops of food coloring and mix the color in. I use a rubber spatula to mix the slime ingredients. No surprise, I went with Sofia’s favorite color…Pink!

Then add 4-6 ounces of white glue and 1 teaspoon of baking soda and continue mixing. Lastly, add 1 tablespoon of Saline solution and 1/4 cup of water. Mix it thoroughly for about a minute or so. This is where you may need to tweak the recipe. If you feel it’s not coming together properly, add a little more saline (1/2 teaspoon).  Tada! You are done. That is all there is to making Fluffy slime! I store the fluffy slime in a Ziploc bag or Tupperware.

My daughter loves playing with slime and compared to the glitter slime, she seems to like the fluffy slime consistency and texture better.  If you want to add another sensory activity into your toddler’s activities rotation, this would be a great one to try!
