Glitter Slime Recipe

Glitter Slime Recipe!

This was a very easy and inexpensive DIY toddler craft!  Works great for a sensory toddler activity.  You can pick any color combination you think your child will like.  Sofia wanted pink, because she loves all things pink!

Slime Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of contact solution (make sure it contains Boric acid)
  • 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 4-6 ounces of Elmer’s Glue (glitter or white)

I made my slime with glitter glue and plain glue. I couldn’t find a 6 ounce bottle of glitter glue. So I used a whole tube of the glitter glue pen and about 4 ounces of regular plain glue.

Slime Recipe:

All you do is pour the glue into a bowl, next add your baking soda and lastly add the contact solution and mix.  Keep mixing with your hands, until you get the right consistency (couple of minutes) and you are done!

My daughter loved making this Glitter Slime with me.  I personally like it better than play-dough, because there are no play-dough crumbs to pick up!!  I store it in a small Tupperware container or you can smush it into an old play-dough container.

Hope you try this Glitter Slime Recipe out and have as much fun as we did! If you are interested in another great DIY sensory toddler activity, check out my post on Rainbow Rice Sensory Box!
