Blogging Resources

Hi friends! Below is a list of my Blogging Resources that I find beneficial and highly recommend using to build or grow your site.

This post contains affiliate links.  All opinions are 100% my own. Please read disclosure here.

Hosting: Siteground!  Originally I was with Blue Host and was happy for about 3 months. Then slowly my site started having down time. That then became the norm for about once a week, until one weekend it happened over 28 different times in 24 hour period. Seriously!! No thank you! Blue Host has a 24/7  support service. This service had also become a nightmare of long wait times or “they were working on the problem”.  I had to make a change! I moved to Siteground and have no complaints! Their support staff is very helpful and fast. The longest I have ever waited is a minute.

CMS:Wordpress.org Over 45, 000 plugins, user-friendly and very customizable. You will need .org if you want to monetize.

Theme: Nose Graze- Tweek Me. Real-time editing and has feminine theme options. Also, quick supportive response time to any questions or problems.

Tools of the Trade:
Canva- Online graphic design tool. Very easy to use! Use Canva to create content for your blog posts, Pinterest pins, Facebook and other social media platforms. Free to make an account, and if you choose to purchase images they are typically only $1.00.
Mailchimp– Reliable and extremely user-friendly tool for creating subscribing sign up forms on your site (get the plugin) and for email marketing campaigns newsletters). Free up to 2, 000 subscribers.

Tailwind- a must have for successful bloggers! Use Tailwind to schedule and manage your social media pin posts. You can schedule in advance your Pinterest posts and link it to post to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Huge timesaver!! Pin while you sleep!

Plugins:

Yoast SEO– you can get the free or premium one. I have the premium one mainly because it does my redirects for me and the best SEO aid for a blogger.

Shareaholic– this is great plugin in you can customize the skin/color to match your site and choose your share buttons and where you want to place it.

Essential Grid– this plugin is great for making your “library” professional looking and to link your printables and posts together.

Hope you find these resources helpful! What are your favorite tools or resources?
