With winter here and in full swing, it's always great to have fun Activities for our kids to keep the creativity flowing, boredom at bay and opportunities to learn new things. TheGet Qurious-Maker Boxis a fun and engaging hands-on way to play creatively and is based on the Three Little Pigs. The box includes exciting interactive games, activities, and puzzles that help encourage kids to explore and discover. It combines physical play pieces along side an interactive digital world. The Get Quirous- Maker Box fosters your child's logic, thinking, reading, imagination, and creativity.
How it Works
Each box is filled with a variety of different activities that help keep your child engaged and focused through tactile play. When we received our box and opened it up, I could tell that the box was filled with a great set of high-quality activities and well-designed characters. The Get Quirous-Maker Box is recommended for children ages 4-9, but my son who's three had absolutely no problem playing and interacting with all the wonderful activities that came in our box.
What You Receive In Your Box
Each box contains 4 different activities for your child to enjoy.
1.Story cards– a set of 12 cards.
2.Masks– two different masks.
3.Puzzle– a 7-piece puzzle that is double-sided and black and white.
4.Sticker book– a 12 page booklet plus two sheets of reusable stickers.
Bring it to Life with the App
Get Quious-Maker Box also has an app that you can use in conjunction with the activities in your box. Simply download the "Get Qurious - Maker Box" app to your iOS device. The games inside the app are what bring all these pieces to life. It's as simple as pointing and playing. Just open up the activities from the home screen, scan the pieces from the box to bring them to life!
Unfortunately, this app is not available on Android. That's why I would love to eventually see this available on Android, so all children have the ability to benefit from it. However, if you don't have an iOS device and your child likes playing dress up and pretend they definitely have a blast using the masks, reading the story, and configure the puzzles.
Chapter Cards
Each box includes twelve chapter story card that can be scanned to have the the story of Three Little Pigs read. As your child listens to the story, they can also watch the animated version on the device.
Masks
I really like how your child can become part of the story. You'll find two masks in your box that allow your child to actually participate in the story. Once your child has one of the masks on, all they have to do is look into the camera on your device and tap the record button. My son got a kick out this because he really wasn't expecting it. He was already excited enough to find all the fun goodies in the box. Being able to be part of the story was an added bonus!
Puzzle Play
One of my favorite parts of the box was the Puzzle Builder activity. With the Puzzle Builder my son was able to build his own house as the Three Little Pigs do in the story. Once we had it together, we scanned each piece of the house into the app to see the 3-D version of it. It was really cool! We were even able to flip the pieces over to create a different puzzle!
Sticker Book
Even the stickers are interactive! All the stickers are reusable and can be used to match their shapes in the coordinating sticker book. The stickers can be scanned with the app so your child can hear fun different sounds and stories. It's a great way to spark your child's creativity because it allows them to create their own version of the Three Little Pigs!
