Are Walking Dead Fans In Store for More Than One Loss Tonight?

If you're a Walking Dead fan, you know how torturous the last several months have been since the season 6 finale. Which character got the bat and will no longer be with us for season 7 and beyond?
The Walking Dead season 7 premiereis by far the most talked about television event of the year—all thanks to the sheer anticipation the writer's have so cleverly mastered. Have you seen the season 7 teaser commercials for The Walking Dead? You know, the one's that have been following up to the season 7 premiere?
Through these teaser's, the writers have accomplished building anticipation and I strongly feel that they're misdirecting us. The writer's are well aware that fans aren't stupid and have gone through great lengths trying to figure out which one of our loved character's met their fate with Lucille.
Every time we think we have a good grasp on who it possibly is, a different teaser surfaces and we've once again lose our grasp. I feel that this season, we'll quickly come to find that the writers  went through great extents not only to keep us guessing until the very last minutes, but also, to possibly throw us for a loop and misdirecting us in the most ultimate, deceiving way possible.
While some might argue that the writers we're leaving us at the edge of our seats at the end of the season 6 finale to create built-up anticipation to last us until season 7, but could it be a slick way of covering up another big loss for fans?
They made it crystal clear that someone was dying. So yes, that definitely created a stir and anticipation among Walking Dead fans. We're somewhat (for a lack of a better word) prepared for the great loss. It's really hard for me to believe that the writer's  would have so easily placed this much insight at the end of season 6 in the hands of fans without that insight coming with a heftier price tag. Will fans face the ultimate consequence? I think it's definitely very possible that two of our beloved characters will be taken out in the season 7 premiere.
Whether you don't believe this or don't want to believe this—you may change your mind after hearing what Greg Nicotero had to say in an interview withUS Weekly. In an interview discussing the season 6 finale and season 7 premier of The Walking Dead, Greg Nicotero stated"If we would have shown the deaths, then they wouldn't have felt our characters in season 7 the way they need to be."
Umm...death or deaths Mr.Nicotero? Yeah, you definitely said "deaths"—oopsie!
Apparently, it sounds like Nicotero's little slip up could indicate that Walking Dead fans will be left with an even bigger broken heart.
With only hours remaining until the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, fans have even more to think & hypothesize about—and let's not forget about, more to fear.
So with that said, we only have a few grueling hours left until we hear that oh so familiar introduction—"Previously on The Walking Dead" (and I'm sure we'll be tortured again with Negan's "Eenie, meenie, miney, mo" rhyme) to find out the anticipated big reveal of our great loss(s).
The Walking Dead returns to AMC tonight (Sunday, October 23rd) at 9 p.m. ET. Don't miss the live after showTalking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick, which airs immediately after the season 7 premiere. The lineup of guests include:
