Two days of games, circus acts, rides, food, beverages, and entertainment for all ages centered in downtown Houston. Created 28 years ago by Child Advocates as an avenue to create awareness and funding to help the neglected and abused children of Houston.

Kids Animation Workshop – Whole Foods Kirby

A FREE, pop-up kids animation workshop in the café area of Whole Foods Market, Kirby on Saturday, April 1st (no fooling), from 9-11 AM. Participants will use stop-motion animation to bring fruits and vegetables to life in their own delicious short videos. Bring your young artists for hands-on film-making fun!

Art in the Park – Elizabeth Baldwin Park

The annual Midtown Art in the Park – a fine art festival featuring local and regional artists with works for sale. The festival brings the cultural arts and entertainment community together. This month, join HCCC resident artist Lisa Hardaway to create hand-woven bookmarks. Learn how to use a small hand-made loom and yarn to create your own woven piece.  HANDS-ON HOUSTON is a free drop-in event held the first Saturday of every month. Each month, a teaching artist demonstrates a craft related to the current exhibitions. Families and children of all ages are welcome to come any time between 11 AM and 3 PM and participate in a 15-20 minute activity. Materials are provided.

Toddler Tuesdays – Discovery Green

Toddler Tuesday will celebrate Diversity In Action through interactive cultural storytimes and activities hosted by the Houston Public Library. Kids can visit Jamaica, England and Mexico without leaving Discovery Green, as we read, sing, and play our way around the world on Tuesday
At 10:30am, parents and kids enjoy a free story time and activities with their favorite characters.

Tyke Hikes – Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

Encourage your little one’s curiosity with nature and the outdoors.
Children 18 months to 3 years, with their adult companions, can join a naturalist for a story reading, a simple nature activity or craft, and a stroller-friendly hike on the beautiful Arboretum trails. Enjoy an interesting new nature experience each week with themes such as owls, squirrels, trees, and worms.
