It is very important to read to babies from an early age. Reading helps to stimulate early brain development and cultivates a passion for lifelong learning. This website shows that babies can understand words even before they learn to speak.

In order to start my boy on reading, I bought quite a number of baby books - both fine print ones which I read to him before bedtime as well as large print ones which he can flip on his own.

After accumulating so many books, I realise I need to display them nicely on a book rack so that he would find it appealing and would want to reach out for them. All this while, I have been stacking these books at the bottom of an Ikea Trofast Storage Unit; which has really been a waste! On several occasions, my boy would try to fish out the books from the drawer. Finally, it dawns on me that I need a book rack to make these books accessible to him. They shouldn't be hiding silently somewhere in the drawer.

So I set out to look for a display book rack for children and found a nice looking one for him. You can check out the link for its dimensions. The book rack is reasonably easy to assemble.

And he enjoys sitting on top of his 3D grizzly bear bean bag to reach out for his fairy tales on his book rack.

It is indeed a great purchase, isn't it? I hope ikea can design a book rack for children - it will surely be a hit with parents.
