Easy Encanto Birthday Party Ideas + Free Printables

Like many children across the world, my daughters are absolutely love Disney’s Encanto. The music is so catchy and fun, the family elements are highly relatable and the characters are colorful and captivating for audiences of all ages. With my daughter’s second birthday in February, I knew there was only one theme that would work. In searching online, I couldn’t find many Encanto Birthday Party ideas or printables, so of course I decided to create my own.

Encanto Birthday Party Decor Ideas

We chose a favorite local park as the perfect venue for my daughter’s Encanto Party. It only cost a small fee to reserve the pavilion area. I came up with a plan to quickly and easily decorate the space using inspiration from the movie.

These white Mexican banners and metallic gold butterflies are both on Amazon and made for the perfect cheap (and easy) Encanto birthday party decor.

I also wanted to create a fun and vibrant backdrop for our food table and photo ops. To create this decor, I cut plastic tablecloths into two inch wide strips and then tied them to a long string of twine. This was a fun activity that my older two daughters both enjoyed helping with. I already had a dozen foam flowers (from Hobby Lobby) in my party planning stash so I tied those along the top beam using extra twine and then mixed in these purple paper flowers too. Adding a few sparkly gold butterflies on top made it perfect!

On each picnic table, I used a plastic lace pattern tablecloth (like these), a colored plastic tablecloth (only partially unfolded) and then gold sequin table runners on top. Each table was finished with a gold trey, vase with fake flowers in purple and teal, a printable sign, mini lantern and also a faux cactus. I found the trays, flowers, solar lanterns and cactus plants at the Dollar Tree. We also purchased this Encanto set and used a few characters on each centerpiece.

Encanto Sensory Bins and Party Activities

My three girls LOVE sensory play so I knew it would be a perfect addition to this Encanto birthday party. My two older daughters helped plan these and all of our guests enjoyed playing in them.

The Bruno inspired Encanto sensory bin is made with Kinetic Sand, glow in the dark Magnatiles and this Mirabel doll.

We created this Antonio sensory bin inspired by Encanto using two colors of beans, animal toys (from the Dollar Tree) and this Antonio doll. Of course, we added some scoops and tongs for fine motor practice too.

The Isabella bin was filled with pink and blue rice (purple would be a great choice too), colored flowers, and a also bucket with shovels. This Isabella doll completed the bin. Here’s a simple tutorial on how to color rice for sensory bins.

We also had a “Mirabel Doodles” section with sidewalk chalk to encourage all of the kids to get creative and draw fun pictures.

Encanto Party Food Ideas

It’s not a party without food and it took a little creativity to come up with these food ideas for my daughter’s Encanto themed birthday. We served tacos as the main dish for everyone to enjoy. Our themed treat section included:

  • Antonio’s Animal Crackers
  • Isabella’s “Grapes That Thrive on the Vine”
  • Bruno’s Vision Sand
  • Luisa’s Power Bars
  • Pepa’s Clouds
  • Julieta’s Healing Cookies
  • Abuela’s Candle Lollipops

DIY Butterfly Encanto Cupcakes

For dessert, I purchased pre-made cupcakes from a local supermarket bakery. I added fun pearl and white sprinkles, these edible flowers and paper butterflies. They were perfect and SO easy to customize.

Birthday Party Entertainment

The wonderful part about hosting a party at a park is that kids have a playground to keep them entertained. In addition to the play area and our sensory activities, I also hired a Mirabel impersonator for 30 minutes. She was fabulous and read a story, painted my daughter’s nails (her favorite), posed for photos and also sang happy birthday. It was the perfect addition to our Encanto party celebration.

Best Encanto Dress for Girls

I had several people ask where I found my daughters’ Encanto dresses. They are PERFECT for an Encanto party and my girls wear them non stop for imaginative play ever since. Here are the links to the dresses I ordered for Mirabel, Isabella and Luisa.
