Kobi and I wanted to do something outdoors. So Moma said, "Let's pitch a Tent for you in the hills." |
We worked very hard to find me a friendly place to pitch tent. DC(Daddy Cool) drove over the rivers... |
And up on high hills... |
And narrow, twisted roads |
We arrived at a place called Lal Kothi which means Red Bungalow |
Moma says it's a very old house that was built in 1941, even before I was born |
Nestled in the valley, surrounded by mountains and the perfect backyard for my tent |
Lal Kothi is Samit Uncle's house and he promised to teach me how to pitch my own tent. |
There are many tiny parts of tiny tent that one has to understand while putting them all together. |
First the small sticks have to be joined to make big sticks |
I carefully watched Samit Uncle and how he fixed the sticks together |
Soon I was fixing the sticks myself |
The sticks were then attached to the yellow plastic to make it look like a triangle |
After that we covered our tent with a second piece of plastic which was grey in colour |
But something was wrong. The grey plastic wasn't sitting on the centre of the tent |
Samit Uncle asked me to pull the string hard |
Once the cover placed well at the centre, some more black sticks were attached to it. |
I could finally see the whole tent taking shape |
The last step was to push some long nails into the mud to help fix the tent on the ground |
I was delighted in my new home.... |
Moma said I could stay here for the whole day |
So I called in Kobi for a cat nap but he was more interested in the grass |
I called out to Moma, saying Kobi is being very naughty |
Soon we all squeezed in for a picture while Moma struggled to keep Kobi still |
It was getting dark and I rushed in for a bath before I slept in my tent |
My best friend Swapnil laid dinner for us, so I had to quickly munch some |
After that I watched some Disney and dozed off....and forgot all about my tent :-( |
