My First Container Terminal

BA-NA-NA...BA-NA-NA.....It's a place where I went bananas with huuuuuuuge paintings

This is where big Containers are parked. It's called a shipping container terminal.

Moma says many big things like cars and furniture can be stored inside these containers that can be shipped to anywhere across the world.
But this terminal was very different because these containers were Painted by graffiti artists from across the world.

DC (Daddy Cool) said this Astronaut went to space but when he came back he blew up in size! It was scary to see such a huge man in a helmet.
I liked these black boxes which showed a strange looking animal with a princess riding it

Some artists opened up the containers and painted inside them too

This was the spot where most people were taking selfies, including DC. I think the blue man was very popular.

Inside the blue man was another man who was showing me his tongue. His legs and hands were both up. I tried to copy him but it was difficult.

There were bright orange bells inside this trunk which I had fun ringing.

This container welcomed people with a bright yellow banana

But there were no bananas to eat when I went inside

Another artist decided to welcome us with black painted brooms

I think this artist forgot to complete his painting but the hollow spaces allowed me to see other paintings behind it. I could see the eyes of a boy far behind....

.....and I ran towards it to have a closer look. It was a sweet boy, like my friend. His face did not scare me like the astronaut.

Inside the astronaut, there were more paintings but much smaller. Here the astronaut is falling over a Car Engine, I think.

And here, there is a huge rock falling over another car engine, I think

I don't know why the artist didn't like car engines??!!

This one had a huge 'opticus' (octopus) riding over the water, wearing a crown and stylish sunglasses

When we left, I could see more trucks coming in to park more containers. I hope they paint many more of them soon.
Because the show is called WIP - Work In Progress and there are still so many more containers waiting to be painted. There's more about this project here http://www.st-artindia.org/
