My First Beach Town (Goa)

I'm going to tell you about my first beach town also famous as cartoonist Mario's land

I took a plane to swim in the Arabian Sea

.....to catch all the fresh fish n chips!

.....to see very many same-looking pretty churches

Are you still wondering where I am?

                              G-O-A...Goa

DC (Daddy Cool) went swimming with me

And Moma showed me how to make sand castles

But each time the waves came, they ate up my castles

So I quit the bucket and spade and went back to the water

Moma kept irritating me to have my snacks

But it was a good idea to munch on my prawns n chips, which came from the water I was swimming in

This lady kept coming to Moma asking her to wear some chains. Moma said she was a farmer who came from far far away to sell jewelery at the beach.

We stayed at artist Svabhu's (Svabhu Kohli) house and he was always making drawings in his book. So I decided to draw as well. I made two tyres with a car on my blank paper.

The next day Moma took me to an art show with more drawing and more paintings and more big pieces.

It was in an old Portuguese house of blue and white colour.

The hall inside had many pieces on the wall but I liked the red lady holding her ears

Moma took a picture next to an artist's work who would never come back again. This was her last work. Moma said it was very sad how Hema Upadhyay went to the sky, far way. Hema made this painting with rice.

We also stopped over at a place made of stones and was used to lock up naughty people. DC said it's called the Reis Magos fort and was once a prison.

It is right next to the water with palm trees and tall walls

It had a lot of place for me to jump and run

This big hall which was meant for bad men in punishment - the largest prison hall, is now used for art shows! Yes, I saw some more art in Goa.

But this was Goa's most famous artist's show. Mario de Miranda . Moma says he was a very funny man and made funny cartoons.

This is what most of his works looked like. The people were always laughing and happy.

The basement of the fort has more pictures on the walls. These pictures were about who came to Goa first. It's called history.

But I kept seeing Mario cartoons wherever I went. This lunch place also had huge Mario works all over their walls.

I saw more Mario works in this shop which is all about Mario. His cartoons are on walls, on T-shirts, on scarves, on fridge magnets, bags, coffee mugs and much much more!

So that's why I decided to wear a T-shirt with a painting of Goa's most famous man, Mario. My T-shirt has Goa's palms trees, the water, the buildings and happy faces.

If you haven't been to Goa yet, I hope you liked it through my eyes.
