Best Places to See the Northern Lights

The Northern Lights are a fantastic and beautiful display of nature and have to be seen to be believed.  They are beyond on my bucket list and the closest I’ve ever gotten was Montreal.  Not exactly nearby.

But if you get far enough north and you’re lucky, then you might be able to see the Northern Lights.  One day, I might be lucky enough to see the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis), but until then I have to settle for Instagram.

So without further adieu, here’s my list of the Best Places to See the Northern Lights

10) Skagway, Alaska

I love the idea of Skagway, an old mining town that is now filled with gorgeous buildings and hipsters.  That downtown Skagway street looks insane.

But photographer, Nicole Goodman captured this gorgeous moment.

9) Lycksele, Sweden

I’ve never seen or heard of Lycksele and I’m scared on how to pronounce it, but it seems like an awesome town in Sweden to see the Northern Lights.

8) Tromso, Norway

Tromso is another gorgeous northern town, which is basically a stop on cruise ships and adventurous folk. It’s one of the most famous spots to go to, to see the Northern Lights as it’s a major cultural hub above the arctic circle.
