JustinGuitar is the best site out there for guitar tutorials. The owner of this awesome site, Justin Sandercoe, has over 500 lessons available- plus, it’s all completely FREE!! There is a beginner’s course, as well as videos on just about anything you could want to learn to do with a guitar! Hands down, this is the best resource out there! :)
Best App
I was pretty surprised by the amount of apps out there for learning guitar! After quite a bit of research, I found Beginner Guitar Songs to be the best of the bunch. It’s FREE and the instructor walks you through lessons as though you’ve never picked up a guitar before which makes it the perfect choice for little learners!
Best Book
Guitar for Kids is a great book for kiddos! It’s introductory and easy enough to not frustrate new guitar students. It takes them through some 3 string songs that your kids will master in no time! :)

The Rocksmith game has been touted as the best guitar learning method for quite some time now. Kids who learn best by playing games will love Rocksmith! There are songs to fit any taste, varying levels of difficulty and plenty of fun to be had. To reduce frustration, though, I would recommend starting out with some of the beginner videos to learn the basics before jumping into this game. :)
