Bodegas Forjas del Salnés Leirana Albariño 2020

The New York Times recognized Leirana Albarino, an excellent white wine, as the top Rías Baixas wine of 2012. It is made from Albarino grapes that are grown on granite-derived sandy soils on vines that are between 40 and 60 years old. It is then allowed to mature for six months after being fermented in a combination of stainless steel vats and wood foudres. This mineral Albarino has delicate aromas of white flowers, stone fruit, a touch of saltiness, and a tinge of citrus that is just a little bit astringent. Freshness and life are brought by a lively acidity. It is expressive, agile, and sophisticated.

Tips: This wine is also good to serve to use it now. Serve it with seafood, cod, oysters, and appetizers in general.

Giusti Asolo Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut

This mouthwatering Prosecco Superiore demonstrates the Giustis’ talent and winemaking expertise by utilizing top-quality Glera grapes from the Montello and Asolo hills. The long ripening season and mild climate here are ideal for premium winemaking, allowing the fruit to retain plenty of freshness and aromatics. In the winery, the grapes are first fermented to produce a base wine, which is then followed by another fermentation in tanks to produce the delicate bubbles. The first sip reveals a mouthwatering acidity, smooth bubbles, and a crisp, clean finish with attractive fruit flavors. Ideal to serve as a casual aperitif or alongside creamy cheeses, seafood, or leafy summer salads.

Tips: Serve this Prosecco chilled.

The Palm by Whispering Angel 2020

This delicate Provence pink is a carefully composed blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grapes from top vineyards in the Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Château d’Esclans, the winery behind the hugely successful Whispering Angel brand, has 44 hectares of vineys located about 25 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea and the ancient Roman town of Frejus. The chateau’s pride and joy are its old Grenache vines, which contribute to wines with a lot of character and concentrated flavors. Sacha Lichine, who is widely credited with transforming Provence rosé into a chic, glamorous wine inspired by the stylish local resorts of St. Tropez and Cannes, purchased the estate in 2006.

Tips: Light, lively and elegant, The Palm is an excellent choice to serve alongside a relaxed al fresco lunch of nicoise salad or grilled salmon.

Rombauer Vineyards Chardonnay 2020

This classic Rombauer Chardonnay’s rich golden hue immediately catches the eye, while the seductive aromas of baked apple, pear, and lemon zest awaken the senses before you’ve even taken a sip. A generous buttery texture and rich hints of vanilla and tropical fruit on the palate are carefully balanced by a refreshing acidity. Rombauer Vineyards ferments and ages this wine in oak barrels to achieve the signature creamy texture and rich buttery and oaky flavors that have become synonymous with most California Chardonnays. The winery also stirs the lees every two weeks to add complexity and a creamier mouthfeel to the wine.

Tips: This Chardonnay goes great with chicken in a creamy sauce, hard cheeses, or pan-fried scallops.

Tenet The Pundit Syrah 2018

The wine has dark purple and ruby hues in the glass. The nose has strong blueberry jam notes with brambly and meaty undertones. The mouthfeel is smooth and silky, with blueberry dominating at first, followed by tobacco and gamey undertones. Tenet Wine Company approaches Syrah in a different way than other winemakers. In the New World, Syrah is frequently used as a blend to boost Cabernet Sauvignon or as an overly jammy wine from warmer regions. To find the best of both worlds, the winemaker embraces the fruity quality of the grapes grown in the region while also looking to traditional French varietals to round out the wine.

Tips: The wine’s dark and rich character makes it an excellent match for red meat, particularly gamey options like lamb, duck, and wild boar.
