It seems you can get a subscription for pretty much anything these days…..and now you can get one for an electronic toothbrush – the Uber Sonic Electric Toothbrush.

This couldn’t have come at a better time because I have had enough of my current electronic toothbrush. It’s clunky, noisier than a digger, and looks like something out of a bad 80s movie.

Thankfully the award winning Uber Sonic Electric Toothbrush – which is German engineered and comes with an affordable refill service and teeth whitening kit –  seems to be the opposite of all of these things. It is quite frankly the sexiest looking toothbrush I have ever seen – with its sleek and compact brushed aluminium design which has made it a recipient of a Red Dot Design Award – which means not only is it a toothbrush but an out and out piece of art.

It has a wonderfully soft head (but not too soft), is super lightweight and feels really good to hold, and is….well you guessed it….super sonic! It has a sonic high speed movement with a whopping 35000 vibrations a minute. The upshot? It means that it’s a hard working brush that removes up to seven times more plaque and bacteria when compared to a normal toothbrush. And boy can you feel it.

It is quick to charge and has a long lasting battery –  unlike my previous electronic toothbrush –  and although it is a bit tickly and takes a bit of getting used to on that front, my teeth feel amazingly clean and fresh afterwards in a way I have only probably ever felt after a cleaning session at the dentist.

One thing I will be keen to see is whether it can hold it’s own on the charge front as time marches on as this has always been a massive issue with past electronic toothbrushes.

Also I have to add that because it’s a subscription service it makes this toothbrush more accessible to folk like you and me (unlike other sonic brushes on the market). A starter pack is a super affordable £19 and that includes the Uber Sonic Brush plus a free teeth whitening kit and refill plan (two brush heads at £9 every two months – it is recommend replacing heads every three months). Considering you could be paying double that for other sonic toothbrush heads that seems extremely reasonable to me). Oh and you also get new Uber Sonic every year as part of the deal!

Initial impressions of the Uber Sonic are good and as I say I’m looking forward to seeing whether it keeps up its performance and battery over time. And now for the exciting bit!
