Stylish Wedding Guest Dresses for Spring and Summer

Wedding season is upon us, and I’m so happy that I actually have one to go to this year! I just love weddings. They are a perfect excuse to get all dolled up and have some fun!

My sister’s getting married in August, so I’ve been looking for a stylish Dress to wear to her wedding. She’s getting married in a church, but the reception will be outside, in my Aunt and Uncle’s back yard. Since August is one of the hottest months of the year here in Maine, I really want a dress that’s breathable, easy to chase my kids around in, and flattering, of course. I’ve been working hard to lose weight since the beginning of this year, and even though I have already lost 21 pounds, I still have a bit of a postpartum belly that I’d like to hide.

There are so many options for wedding guest dresses out there, that it can seem a bit overwhelming. I’ve narrowed down my top 10 choices, and thought I’d share them with you, in case you are also looking for stylish wedding guest dresses for spring and summer.

I am so in love with this Illusion Yoke Embellished Poplin Dress from eShakti. Blue is my favorite color, and I just adore the floral embellishments at the bottom of the dress. It looks so comfortable and flattering, and it also has pockets, which is awesome! And just look at the back of the dress – how gorgeous is that?! This dress can be customized to your liking, with 5 additional sleeve types and 6 additional length options. This one is definitely a front runner for me.

My next dress pick is also from eShakti. This Chelsea Dress looks so comfortable, and is perfect for a spring or summer wedding. I love the ruched bodice, elastic smocked center back waist, and the band at the waist in the front. This dress would definitely be slimming around the tummy. Once again, this dress also has side seam pockets, and it can be customized to your liking with 2 additional necklines, 3 sleeve types, and 6 length options. If you’re not keen on the color pink, there are also several more dresses in this style, but in different colors and patterns!

The next dress on my list is from Macy’s. This SL Fashions Sleeveless Ruched Lace A-Line Dress is a bit more fun and flirtatious. It has a ruched bodice and a gorgeous lace overlay at the skirt, making it look very sophisticated and feminine. I read the reviews for this dress, and most of them said that this dress was very slimming around the waist, which is exactly what I am looking for!

This Fit and Flare Dress from Lands’ End is next on my list. I really like the simplicity of it and the flattering fit and flare silhouette. This dress will go far beyond just one wedding, and can be worn again for many occasions. It also comes in 5 different colors – coral ruby, black, celestial blue, ink blue, and perfect purple.

I really love this Robbie Bee® Sleeveless Dot Print Fit-and-Flare Dress from JC Penney, too. The colors are very fun and different, and I love the ribbon around the waist and the ruffles on the skirt.

I’m not usually one for busy patterns on a dress, but I actually really adore this Tiana B. Sleeveless Floral Fit-and-Flare Dress, which is also from JC Penney. It’s very feminine, a pretty pattern for the spring and summer months, and I really love added detail of the button keyhole back. It’s definitely going to be hot in August, so I think this dress would keep me plenty cool, and it would also look great paired with a sweater if it does start to cool off later in the evening.

Here’s another floral patterned dress that I really do like. The blue color is my absolute favorite, and I just think it’s so pretty. You can find this Floral Mesh Dress at Dressbarn.

Here’s another dress from Dressbarn that I absolutely adore! This Lace Belted Fit-and-Flare Dress in pistachio has a gorgeous lace pattern overlay and a removable belt.

If you’re looking for a longer dress option, this Scarf Print Jersey & Crêpe de Chine Maxi Dress from Nordstrom is really beautiful. I just love that detailed skirt. It’s so bright and cheerful. One reviewer who wore it to a wedding said she received compliments on it all night long. I can definitely see why!

Here’s another long dress option from Macy’s that I really love. This Adrianna By Adrianna Papell Chiffon Draped Sleeveless Gown looks really comfortable, and it’s detailed with a beautiful V-neck front and cross-back design at back. I also love that it comes in 7 different colors – almond, coral, black, blush, graphite, midnight blue and royal.

Are you attending a wedding this spring or summer? Which of these wedding guest dresses do you love the most?
