Halloween Costumes for Toddlers with Sensory Sensitivity

Halloween is drawing near, and I have been thinking about costumes for my kids. My 3 year old daughter, Kayleigh, has Sensory Sensitivity, so she does not like to wear certain fabrics, or any kind of heavy costume that does not allow her to move freely, and she will not wear face paint. This year, she has requested to be a pumpkin for Halloween.

I want her to be able to dress up for Halloween, but still be comfortable, so I spent quite a while searching the web for Halloween Costumes for Toddlers with Sensory Sensitivity. Surprisingly, there were quite a lot of great hoodies that would make perfect Halloween costumes for toddlers with sensory sensitivity.

If your toddler has sensory sensitivity, and does not want to wear a normal Halloween costume, check out these great sensory-friendly costume ideas I found below.

Captain America – Pair this hoodie with a pair of Matching Blue Pants and boots to complete the look!

Darth Vader – A true Darth Vader mask would be a nightmare for a kid with sensory issues. This hoodie is much more comfortable, and it’s reversible too!

Mickey Mouse – All it takes is a pair of black pants to complete this costume!

Paw Patrol Chase – Complete the look with a pair of matching brown pants.

Paw Patrol Marshall – Finish this costume off with a pair of white pants.

Pumpkin – This is the hoodie I ended up getting Kayleigh for Halloween this year. I plan to pair it with black pants, but if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can pair it with a pair of orange and black,  green and black or orange and green striped pants.

R2D2 – Finish the look with a pair of white pants.

Rainbow Dash – This hoodie would look great with either a pair of matching blue pants, or rainbow striped pants.

Spiderman – Pair with blue pants, and red boots to complete this costume!

Stormtrooper – Complete the look with white pants and white boots.

Superman – This outfit is already complete!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle – Pair with green pants to finish the look.

Yoda – Pair with khaki pants to complete this costume.

Does your toddler have sensory sensitivity? Do you think they would wear one of these cute character hoodies for Halloween?
