The other night Miss Mikaylah was telling my dear Adam and I all about ANZAC Day. She explained to us why the soldiers Fought and how some soldiers didn't come home to their families. The humbleness in which she spoke filled my heart with pride; not only because of what she was learning at school, but for the fact she was able to show respect to those who fought for her freedom.

My grandfather Served under the Maltese Army during World War II; My Step-Father served with the Australian Air Force; My Uncle served with the Australian Army spending time on the Gaza Strip; my Father-In Law also served in the Australian Army and fought on the battle lines of 

the Vietnam War. 

Our family is filled with history of wars. Of survival. For freedom.

Thank you to all those who have served for our freedom.

Thank you to all those who are still serving to protect each of us.

I may never know your names or see your faces, but I thank you.
