No place like home!
It’s hard to believe that we moved to Devon over a year ago and having unpacked our boxes again this summer we are loving our spacious and ‘mostly’ sunny offices in Barnstaple. So we thought we’d give you a peek at PacaPod HQ and the low-down on the place we call home.
For a start it’s not all about Devon cream teas – though we have been known to indulge – but Food certainly plays a large part in why everyone loves being in Barnstaple. Our new offices are part of a beautiful old building and have some stunning original features including a balcony and a tower office! Step outside and around the corner is the massive indoor Pannier Market with stalls selling collectables, antiques and clothing and Butchers Row with a great range of speciality food shops.
Kelly suggests the cheese shop and delicatessen in Butchers’ Row for tasty treats, and for an after work bite we have been known to hang out in Lillico’s for tapas and a glass of vino. Further afield it’s just 10 minutes to the beach and North Devon’s famously rugged coastline and wide beaches and it’s hardly surprising that our adventurous outdoors loving leader Jacqueline has developed a new love of surfing.
