Be Safe this Halloween

Nourish Parents,
Did you know that twice as many children die in pedestrian accidents on Halloween night compared to any other night? October 31 can be one of the deadliest nights for young children for more than one reason, and there is no pun intended. There are many safety precautions parents should take tomorrow to ensure that everyone enjoys the night.
Here are a few tips:
- Trick or treat with a group for safety and fun reasons!
- Give every child a glow stick or necklace to wear so that they can be seen at night.
- Keep your distance from other trick or treating groups, especially older kids that might have scary costumes.
- Be in before night time if you have kids under the age of 8.
- Make a "no eating candy" Rule while out and about so that no one runs into food allergy battles.
- Be sure to sort the candy when you get home and throw away all unwrapped ones before you eat anything!
Halloween can bring out an excitement in kids that can sometimes make them out of control. It is important as parents to set the rules early and let them know that if they don't follow these rules, trick or treating will be cut short. There is such a thing as having a safe and fun Halloween experience!
Have so much fun tomorrow and be sure to take a lot of pictures. We would love to see our little Nourish lovers all dressed up!
