Grace Church Van Vorst is soliciting submissions for its 26th gala celebration to be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017. For the past quarter century the Cathedral Arts Festival has showcased premier artists from around the region, connecting Jersey City and the surrounding community with exciting, vibrant and affordable art and the talent behind it.
According to the organizers, the Cathedral Arts Festival is Jersey City’s longest-running annual art exhibition celebrating artists and community. On the evening of the fabulous champagne gala, the beautiful 160-year-old sanctuary of Grace Church Van Vorst is transformed into an art gallery featuring dozens of artists from the tri-state area. All work is for sale with 60 percent of the sale going to the exhibiting artist and 40 percent going to Grace Church.
Application Deadline: March 4, 2017
Exhibition Dates: April 29-May 12, 2017
Art Drop-off: Saturday, April 8, 9 am-11 am and Sunday, April 9, 1 pm-3 pm
Accepted Media: Painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, sculpture
Submissions: Should be reasonably priced so that members of the community might be able to purchase original art of exceptional quality.
To Submit: Submit up to three JPEGS digitally by emailing submissions to caf-art(at)gracevanvorst.org. Each image should be submitted as an attached JPEG and titled with “[artist last name] and [the title of piece].” JPEGS must be true to color and of good quality.
In your submission email, attach a separate document titled with “[artist last name] art list” with the following information for each piece submitted:

Price
