Our house has been chilly all week. The thermostat settings haven’t changed; it’s more like our bodies hadn’t adjusted to the drop in temperature from a weekend of 50 degrees plus weather to a week with two snow days, delayed school openings, and below-freezing temperatures.
The best cure for cold winter air is a warm bowl of Soup (although I will openly admit that I love to have soup all year long). You can add soup to any meal plan that you create. It adds variety and can either be a compliment to the main course, e.g. hot and sour soup for an Asian-themed meal, or a contrast, e.g. apple-butternut squash soup for a spicy meal.
