This is the Abraham and Isaac Story from the holy bible. Once upon a time, there lived a man named Abraham. He had a wife named Sarah and a young little boy named Isaac. Now, Sarah and Abraham had been very old when they were blessed with their son by the Lord.

The both of them were immensely happy and thankful to God. The Lord had told them to have faith and one day, they will have a child of their own. Some years later, God decided to test Abraham’s faithfulness. He decided to put him to a painful test. You may also like to read, Adam And Eve Bible Story.

Image Source@ www.lds.org. One day, God came to Abraham and asked him to offer Isaac as a sacrifice. Poor Abraham was shocked. For years, they did not have a child, and now that the God had finally blessed them with a son, God wanted them to sacrifice the child. Now, Abraham had to choose between his own son and God.

However, Abraham chose God. So, he decided to sacrifice his own son with a heavy heart. God had already shown the directions to Abraham. So, he took two of his servants and took Isaac too. They traveled long and wide for three days all of them traveled. Then upon reaching a certain place, the two servants were directed to stay with the donkey.

While, from that point onwards, Abraham and Isaac made the journey alone. Upon reaching a mountain, Abraham with a heavy heart tied his son with a rope. Then, he laid Isaac down onto a wood. He cried miserably and without stopping. But Abraham had made his mind. He took out his knife. But before Abraham could strike, an angel of God appeared.

“Stop dear, Abraham,” the angel said. “You have proved yourself to God. Abraham’s heart was overwhelmed with joy and relief. Then the angel said,”I will bless you with as many descendants as the stars in the sky. You must get up and go back now.”

Just then, a ram appeared out of nowhere. The God had given the ram to Abraham to sacrifice. And Abraham called that place, “The Lord Will Provide.” Isaac and Abraham went back home happily. Also, read Jacob And Esau Story.
