Remember last summer when I said we were on our way to a new adventure? And I promised to let you in on our big surprise? Well, it took this long to sort it all out.  But that memory-making, childhood solidifying, foundational-to-who-we-are journey that has been screaming at hubby and me for years in our minds is now our reality. This is our Brand new start!

We have bought our forever home and will be spending the next forever making it our little farm! Long story short, we had a house we thought we were going to buy but it fell through big and ugly. God has a plan for us and that definitely wasn’t it! So we paused, we prayed and we waited. Then suddenly, we found this house. And everything fell into place as smooth as could be with the help of some key people who worked and prayed us into this place.

So now we look out over our piles of boxes and start thinking of what projects to start first. We want our children to experience caring for animals, having dirty fingernails, morning chores, endless days exploring the woods, gardening and so much more. 

This story is now our adventure in creating our little farm. Come along with us to see how we plan for animals and gardens and crafts and more! There are so many fun times ahead of us. And we are going to share our adventures with whoever will stop by and read. We’ve got a garden to get going, canning and freezing methods to learn, a wireless dog fence to set up (and a dog to teach!). Then we’ve got a chicken coop to set up, chicks to adopt, honey bees to learn about first, then get (and not get stung too much!). There’s stuff to build, furniture to refinish, and plain old fun to have!

Oh we can’t wait! We are ever so grateful for the blessings God has given us- so undeserved but so very much appreciated. The kids are Excited, we are excited and I’ll let you know how the dog feels. Hopefully she’s excited, too!
