Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is on her way to win over the world once again, one red carpet event at a time. While we saw the former Miss World win over Dubai recently, on Saturday it was the turn of Sydney where Aishwarya was seen opening a store.

The 44-year-old actor not only floored those present with her fashion statements – a shiny white gown and an all-black ensemble – she also held forth on #MeToo. As social media was flooded with Aishwarya’s photos, we sure missed seeing daughter Aaradhya and husband Abhishek Bachchan there who have accompanied the actor to Australia. The family will be celebrating Abhishek’s birthday on February 5 together.

The actor was also asked about the raging issue of the day, #MeToo movement that began after a number of women accused Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault and worse. “A movement such as the #MeToo movement … has brought out a lot of conversation and sharing,” she told The Sunday Telegraph, adding, “The good thing is that people are talking. I don’t think this (subject) needs to restrict itself to one part of the world. That is definitely the positive, which has come about with this entire subject.”
