What a year. 2016 was a good year for all things creepy, paranormal, weird and the like. Did you accomplish everything you set out to do? Me neither. So 2017 will have to be our year for finishing things and not starting more than we can handle. Hahaha yeah right, that will happen.

So what did happen this year that stands out in your mind? Did you enjoy Stranger Things as much as everyone else? Do you wish you could go on a Paranormal Lockdown? Do you have any Kindred Spirits around you? Maybe you are a little sad about Ghost Hunters final season. Some things will end, but there are plenty of things taking us into next year. Definitely no shortage of the weird and awesome.

2016 was a pretty good year for movies too. Don’t Breathe kept some of us on the edge of our seats. The Conjuring 2 continued to give us goose bumps. There were many other movies to give us a good scare. Hush, 31, Lights Out, Under the Shadow, The Other Side of the Door, etc.

Some of the news in 2016: Ryan Buell arrested. I don’t think he handled fame very well. I hope he learned whatever lesson he was supposed to learn.

Gay people are just possessed by ghosts. Seriously people, is this the kind of theory we have dwindled down to? I understand we have to go through every theory, but come on.

Barry Gibb haunted by his brothers’ ghosts. It would be pretty hard to have to outlive your family.

Man dies while watching The Conjuring 2. First, dying at a movie is a sad thing. Now think about those with the person and those around them. Wow what an experience.

We lost many people this past year, whether we knew them personally or they were from TV or movies we have seen.

Alice Drummond – She played the librarian in the original Ghostbusters. Such an iconic role and she will be missed.

Gaurav Tiwari – A paranormal researcher who died with a strange black mark on his neck.

Max Spiers – A supposedly supersoldier who was found dead at 39. He was a father of two. We hope the ones he left behind will endure.

This is not all those who we lost just a few of the many souls that will be missed. Be careful in the coming year and tell those around you that you love them and miss them when they are away. You never know when it will be the last you see them.

Don’t worry, 2017 is looking to be a pretty good year for all the strange and wonderful things we enjoy. We just hope death will take a long vacation and we won’t lose so many.
