Default configurations

ubuntu provides three basic configurations for compiz effects.
These settings can be accsessed by right clicking the desk top and clicking change desktop background->visual effects
you will get three optons
1.none 
select this option if you are a minimalist.
2.Normal
this provides improved usability and good balance between attractiveness and performance requirements.it enables some effects such as enhanced zoom.
Viewport switcher and desktop wall etc.i will take a deep look at them later.
3.Extra
Enable this if you want to see a glimpse of what compiz can do.the first thing you will be struck with will be the wobly windows and minimize effects.if you thought
thats enough.just press windos key(superkey)+tab to see window switcher in action.
