Yesterday, my Server refused to run the Mysql process, giving this error:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
The error was solved. The problem was the free space left on root partition. I was having only 300mb left. The system was running very slow, also.
