It’s not every day one of our Stories makes it all the way to the House of Commons debating chamber. But that’s exactly what occurred when we branded black Pudding a super-food.

A huge amount of media coverage followed with items appearing in just about every national newspaper and on broadcast news bulletins on BBC and ITV – all of which included comments from our client.
A day or two later we were genuinely astounded when the story sparked an exchange in the House of Commons.
Conservative MP David Nuttall, urged the leader of the House of Commons Chris Grayling MP to free up time in the Chamber for a full Debate on the Health Benefits of black pudding.
He said: “Can we please have a debate on the health benefits of eating black pudding?
“You will no doubt have seen reports this week that this tasty delicacy is full of protein, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc – so it is not only good for you, it’s actually a Superfood and a debate will enable us to ensure the benefits are more widely known.”
It just goes to show that a London PR campaign can take you all the way to the top.
London PR’s MD Steve McComish said: “This is amazing and the first time one of our stories has been openly debated inside the House of Commons since I started the agency up in 2007. Well done to our talented team for making this happen.
“I’m now off to celebrate with a huge fry-up heavily laden with superfoods of course.”
