Banging the drum for ethical shopping

Black Friday week is always a busy time in consumer PR. But this year we’ve been happy to shout about a wonderful initiative by our client EthicalSuperstore.com.

The online retailer is helping shoppers give something back and make a real difference by donating a grocery item to the UK’s busiest Food Bank for every order over £30.

Ethical Superstore is a one stop online shopping destination for all ethically minded consumers and this time last year the site donated more than 1500 items to the Newcastle West End food bank, helping to feed some of the poorest families in the North East in the run up to Christmas.

This year it’s hoped that donations will be even higher and we have been spreading the word about this unique offer across the regional North East media and the nationals (see clip from The Sun below – click to enlarge).
