Why You Should Not Chase the Money When Starting Your Online Business

If you chase the money, it could destroy your business

If you Chase the Money, you are doing one of the most common failures when starting your new Business. The reason can vary, but the old traditional offline business still remains in many people’s mindsets.

In the old offline business world, you needed an essential amount of money to get started, register the business entity, install an office or shop, warehouse, inventory, personal, and a lot of other nitty-gritty stuff to get started.

Once the business opened up the doors to the public, your debts were already pretty high. Under those circumstances, to chase the money could be understandable to keep your business financially alive.

In today’s online world, the conditions are entirely different. With your computer, Internet connection, and a small amount of money (less than $100), you can be up and running the same day.

When commencing business online without money or minimal funds, it is important to be resourceful from the very beginning. When starting surfing around full of enthusiasm to be an online business entrepreneur, you will be bombarded with offers.

Online entrepreneurs will do their best, trying to sell their products or services. It’s easy to fall into the trap and start spending money in the search for the ultimate “get-rich-quick” software or program. Stick to your plan and do not deviate from it.

Many people with an entrepreneurial mindset and fantastic business ideas put their projects on hold due to a lack of capital and a conviction that business online without money is an impossible mission.

An online business start-up requires less capital than old traditional offline business adventures. But the basics for success without funds remain the same.

To Chase the Money is the Wrong Route

You need a serious idea linked together with a plan of execution from the very beginning. If your great idea with a plan well thought out initially, the money issue won’t stop the project.

Yes, there will be long working days without sleep. Indeed you will be frustrated several times. And yes, and you will fail over and over again. But if your passion is strong enough, nothing can stop you.

Whatever plan you have, the route to success is built on a genuine idea, slimmed down to a concept possible to transmit to the market. It’s all about your passion sold to likeminded people, who eagerly search for solutions. Your solution will be the product or service people are willing to spend money on to get hold of.

Do not chase the money but follow your passion!

“So far so good” – might be your objection.

And you’re right. I was in this situation seven years ago.

As an active business person approaching the age of retirement, a sort of panic frequently popped up in my mind when only thinking about retirement. The idea of leaving the business environment entirely I have been accustomed to during a significant part of my life just didn’t fit into my way of thinking.

On the other hand, retirement also should give me more time to practice my favorite hobby. In my case, it’s marathon running. I promise you that training for marathons consumes a lot of time.

Finally, and now we are going to talk a while about money. If you haven’t regularly and actively built up a saving fund for your retirement, you will have less money available than what you are accustomed to during your active working life.

In the Head of a Baby Boomer

The three issues for your upcoming retirement can then be summarized like this:

  1. How to fill up the emptiness of leaving an active business life?
  2. Yes, now I can spend the time I want on my favorite hobby!
  3. What to do to fill in the missing money gap?

With these three specific topics, there is only one that you can start right away; your hobby. Let your passion be the starting point for your business, is a good way to start out.

The other two triggered me to search for solutions. Fortunately, I could retire with sufficient money to live on, but some people chase the money to survive. Whatever group you belong to, please stop chasing the money immediately, and in a moment, I will tell you why.

After a short time searching for alternatives, a business online became the path to go. As mentioned earlier, no vast investment capital is required. You can work from anywhere with a computer and an Internet connection. This model fits perfectly well with all retired people, searching for a serious business combined with the freedom of other things as well.

Avoid spams and do not chase the money

The problem for people who chase the money is that they immediately will fall into the trap of spams and false “get-rich-quick” schemes. Their target group comprises people who desperately chase the money instead of implementing a business with a solid foundation as a base.

Even if I consider myself a baby boomer with a relatively good knowledge of the digital world, only the idea of creating a business online got me scared. Building a platform to manage the business requires a website and a system to manage your leads and turn them into sales.

The more I thought about it, the more distance appeared between me and a possible business online. My dream slowly started to fade out, until……

There it is!

By accident (I thought), I came across a system that changed everything. An all-in package for newbies like me, and perfectly molded for baby boomers in the same situation as I was.

It starts with a blueprint, where you, together with experienced coaches, go through your avatar and desires in life. In the end, you will get a well-defined frame for your business, something that you’re passionate about and would like to transmit to like-minded people around the world.

You get access to a complete platform to build your business, all from your own website, to marketing tools. And the best of it all: you are never alone! One of the most valuable and active communities of like-minded entrepreneurs will always be there to share and help.

The beauty of all this is that you don’t need to chase the money when up and running properly. By helping people solve their problems, similar to the one you had, the money will follow you.
