Understanding the Client: Tru Snax

Tru Snax, formerly known as Three Cookies was a company that focused solely on creating cookies in three distinct flavors. In order to expand their product range they sought the expertise of Pixel Studios to come up with a captivating Brand name, eye-catching packaging design, and an identity that perfectly represents their products.

The entrepreneurial spirit behind Tru Snax is Mrs. Arthi Vivek, an enterprising housewife who turned her passion for healthy snacking into a lucrative business venture.

Objective

Three Cookies (Tru Snax) aimed to diversify their product range, devise a brand name, and design appealing packaging that would resonate with consumers across different age groups. They wanted their packaging design to set them apart in the market. A continuous enhancement and optimization of the packaging design was another key objective.

We identified User personas for healthy snacks that would typically represent a diverse range of individuals who are conscious about their health, dietary needs, and lifestyle choices. Here are a few personas:

Goals: Maintain a balanced diet, manage a busy lifestyle
Needs: Quick, healthy snacks that fit into her active lifestyle and dietary preferences (low-carb, high-protein)

Bala Kumar, the Diabetic Senior
Age: 65

Goals: Manage his diabetes, stay active and healthy
Needs: Snacks that are low in sugar and carbohydrates to help regulate blood sugar levels

Shwetha, the Keto Enthusiast
Age: 28

Goals: Adhere to a strict ketogenic diet for weight loss and improved energy
Needs: High-fat, low-carb snacks that fit into her ketogenic lifestyle

Madhav, the Fitness Buff
Age: 40

Goals: Maintain a lean physique, support his high-energy lifestyle
Needs: Protein-rich, low-carb snacks that support muscle growth and recovery

Aisha, the Busy Mom with Prediabetes
Age: 36

Goals: Prevent the onset of diabetes, maintain a healthy lifestyle for her family
Needs: Family-friendly and kid-friendly snacks that are low in sugar and carbs
These personas represent a spectrum of potential customers, each with unique needs and challenges that healthy, diabetic-friendly, keto-friendly cookies and snacks can address. 2. Coining of the Brand Name

Our first challenge was to coin a vibrant, one-of-a-kind brand name that would resonate with a diverse array of products. The aspiration propelling this brand name was to disclose the inherent quality of ingredients and pave the way for a future brimming with wholesome snacking options. The ingredients they utilize are transparently disclosed on their packaging – devoid of hidden elements and preservatives, only embodying pure wholesomeness. Taking into account all these elements, we coined the name “Tru Snax”. A name that embodies authenticity and the joy of healthy indulgence.

3. Brand Logo Creation

Extensive brainstorming and design iterations were conducted to craft a visually appealing and memorable logo.

The term “Tru” stands for transparency, reflecting the commitment to divulge all ingredients used in our products. It signifies honesty and integrity, which we believe are fundamental to building a trustworthy brand. The font used for “Tru” is more serious, further emphasizing the gravity of our commitment to authenticity.

On the other hand, “Snax” symbolizes the joy of snacking and our products’ versatility. It’s a nod to our wide range of wholesome snacks, not just limited to cookies, catering to all ages. The font for “Snax” is funky, reflecting the fun side of life and the joy that comes with enjoying our snacks.

The contrast in fonts between “Tru” and “Snax” encapsulates the balance that the brand aims to provide – serious dedication to quality and transparency, along with the fun of enjoying a delicious snack. Thus, the Tru Snax logo is a symbolic embodiment of the pledge to provide truthful, enjoyable snacking options.

Colorful Strategy

A variety of bright colors were chosen for each snack product to grab attention and create a visually pleasing effect.

Primary Color Selection

In total, we worked on 6 packaging designs for 6 different flavour combinations. The aim was to design packaging that would attract consumers of all age groups.
