inboundli Features Update – Find Your Best Content

On average, B2B companies publish one article per week. In most cases this isn’t enough content to power a significant presence on Social Media. To compensate, companies often reshare the same content again and again – a practise that will most likely lower engagement as social feeds become repetitive.

inboundli provides the tools to multiply your content output through curation, which helps to publish versatile, engaging and timely content. This creates a buffer of valuable content between your posts and allows to reshare more of your own content without lowering engagement.

The “My content” menu in inboundli is made for the purpose of helping you to reshare in-house content between curated posts. This week, we added more ways to uncover the best content from your blog and added two options to sort content under the “My content” menu.

Sort by Relevancy

The first new sorting option is called “Relevancy”. It utilizes the same algorithm that inboundli uses to power your third-party content suggestions: the platform returns the results that are most likely to engage your specific audience.

This is useful because it surfaces the most relevant content on your blog but not necessarily the most engaging. Sharing content that wasn’t engaging might sound counter-intuitive, but there’s a good reason to consider doing it anyway.

Engagement depends on factors such as publishing time and annotation formatting. If one of the factors isn’t optimized, your content could end up not reaching anyone. But if it were to reach your audience, it might become a hit. It’s for that reason why, from our experience, a lot of your in-house content deserves a second chance.

Sort by Last Shared

The second sorting option is called “Last shared”. If selected, this option returns content based on the time you Shared it on social media. The use case for this feature is when you want to avoid over-sharing the same content or to reshare content that was not yet shared frequently enough.

The last time you shared the piece of content is reflected on each blog post in your feed, as well as the total number of times that you shared the content on social media. The latter provides additional context and helps to prevent over-sharing.

Summary

These new features are another step to help you get more out of your in-house content. Furthermore, they can help to uncover your most valuable content, that you didn’t even know exists!

Next to come: major UX and UI improvements which we’ll cover in the next features article so stay tuned!
